The HTC Shift Official Specs – Scanned Brochure

Well some people don't know me yet J so some "Doubting Thomases" have claimed my specs from HTC might not be the right ones. Well – here they are...

Direct from the Hand that feeds you the news. J

All brochure content is of course (C) HTC.

It's listed "GPS" in the brochure. Typo? Maybe "GPRS"?

I noticed the GPS, but in the context of HSDPA I think it's a typo.

The thing that bothers me most is the batterylife in Vista. And why does the brochure say '8 hours of working'? That's rather misleading when you take a closer look at the specs. The SnapVUE thing is just to check e-mail or browse, it doesn't seem to be able to do anything beyond that... It's all a bit disappointing, including the resolution.

But still, it's a perfect machine for me, and maybe I can live with its shortcomings. If the damn thing costs less then 1200 euros, I'll buy one!

Previous reporting indicated it wold have both Vista and WinMobile6. Looks like they've dropped the PocketPC OS for SnapVue, trying to compete it with a Blackberry.

Really would rather have the PocketPC integrated. Instant on without waiting for bootup just to input a to-do, contact, or appointment, then have them all synced to the Shift when I do use Vista would've been nicer than a 1 pound, 8x5 inch Blackberry.

Oh well, I'll keep waiting for the perfect device...
